Ways to get your ticket
ONLINE TICKET
Buy tickets up to 30 days prior departure online and print them outWhat do you need? You need a computer, a printer and access to the Internet as well as to an email account. You will receive your ticket as a PDF file (that means you will need a PDF reader/viewer). To avoid any problems, please temporarily deactivate all ad blockers.
How can you pay? You can pay by credit card (MasterCard, Visa) or by eps online transaction (this payment method is currently only available for the Online Ticketshop – not for the app).
How fast will you get your ticket? You will receive your personalized ticket via email within a few minutes after finishing your order. Depending on your email provider you should be able to access and print out your ticket within five minutes.
How can you register? You will only have to register the first time you buy a ticket. To do so, please follow the instruction below:
Step 1: choose a product - Choose the product you need and add it to your shopping cart.
Step 2: shopping cart - If you have chosen all the products you need, please click on “proceed to checkout”.
Step 3: Your personal data - Now you have to register with your email address and your personal data. Afterwards you will receive an email with a link to activate your account.
For the future you can use your login details (email address and password) to sign in and order tickets online. However, you can also order a ticket online without registration by clicking on “Order ticket without registration”.
How can you use your ticket? The ticket you bought online includes the validity period, the area you can use it in and your personal data. Therefore you will need to carry a photo ID with you which includes your date of birth. Your ticket is only valid with this photo ID and must not be transferred to another person.
App Ticket
A simple and fast way to buy tickets.
What do you need? To use an app ticket you will need a web-enabled smartphone with Android or iOs as well as the Salzburg Verkehr app on it. You will also have to register to buy and use your app ticket. When buying your first app ticket you will be asked to choose a payment method and enter your data. For using the trip planner and buying your ticket you need to have access to the Internet. If you do not have an unlimited plan for mobile data, costs of your mobile service provider for data usage may apply. The Salzburg Verkehr App is freely available via Google Play and iOS-Store.

How fast will you get your ticket? You can simply access your ticket via the Salzburg Verkehr app by clicking on “tickets”. Moreover you will receive an email with your order confirmation. Please note that your app ticket is only valid in combination with a photo ID with your date of birth on it.
How can you register? You will only have to register the first time you buy a ticket. To do so, you need to enter your email address, your personal data and a password. To do so, choose your product and click on it. Then click on "Register" and follow the menu prompts. Attention: You will receive a confirmation email containing a link. The link must be accessed within 48 hours to complete your registration. For the future you can use your login details (email address and password) to sign in and buy your app tickets. However, you can also order an app ticket without registration by clicking on “Buy ticket without registration”.
You ordered a ticket but can’t find it on your phone? Please note that you need access to the Internet to get your ticket. If your phone is not connected to the internet permanently during the ordering process you may not be able to download the ticket successfully. Please check whether you are logged-in and refresh your screen manually to enable data synchronization.
